The quickest way to set up an alert:
- Go to the currency converter
- Select your currency pair (e.g. GBP to EUR)
- Click the "Get rate alerts" section below the rate
- Enter your email and choose alert type (threshold or daily digest)
- Done - you'll receive a confirmation email within seconds
You can manage all your alerts from the link in any alert email, or by visiting the converter and clicking "Manage my alerts".
Frequently asked questions
Is this really free?
Yes. Rate alerts are completely free with no hidden fees, premium tiers, or upsells. We make money through affiliate partnerships with transfer services - not by charging you for alerts.
How often are rates checked?
Threshold alerts are checked every few minutes during market hours (Sunday evening to Friday evening UTC). Daily digests are sent once per day in the morning.
What rate do you use?
We use the mid-market rate - the midpoint between buy and sell prices from our data providers (TwelveData, OpenExchangeRates, and the European Central Bank). This is the same rate shown on our converter. The rate you actually get from a bank or transfer service will differ - see our methodology page for details.
Can I set alerts for crypto or gold?
Yes. We support alerts for 50 cryptocurrencies (BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, etc.) and 4 precious metals (XAU, XAG, XPT, XPD) against any fiat currency.
How do I connect Telegram?
After creating an alert by email, you'll see a "Connect Telegram" option. Click it to link your Telegram account via our bot. Once linked, you can choose to receive alerts via Telegram instead of (or in addition to) email.
How do I unsubscribe?
Every alert email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also manage or delete individual alerts from the "Manage my alerts" panel on the converter page.
